The Amazon cruise vessel, Tucano, was first launched in September 1997. Measuring over 80 feet in length, Tucano is a spacious cruiser, offering 9 comfortable cabins with en suite facilities and air-conditioning. The boat is fitted with beautiful woodwork including decks finished in deep brown natural wood. Catering for small groups of just 18 passengers, with trained naturalist guides and thoughtful itineraries, a cruise on the Tucano provides a genuine and thrilling experience through the Amazon rainforest.

The Salon of the Motor Yacht Tucano is at the forward part of the vessel and is surrounded by a broad balcony. Thoroughly paneled and lighted by brass lamps, this room serves as our vessel library and dining room. It is a good place to observe the forest, read or relax. From this large space, filled with windows and situated at the front of the boat, you can see the fantastic forest around us.

Dining Area

Our meals are not gourmet, but wholesome, filling and delicious. We also serve many types of Amazon Fruits. Our crew rise before dawn to make a large breakfast and there is always a tantalizing scent coming out of the Galley.

Stored in the large cabinet on the right side of the vessel (starboard) is a modest but excellent collection of science and nature reference books that we use during the voyage. The library also stores a considerable collection of novels and popular works. We also have some board games like Scrabble and checkers.

Observation Deck

Observation Deck

Observation Deck runs the length of the entire upper deck on the Tucano. Guests can go forward and watch the crew navigate the vessel, sit comfortably under the canopy and scan the canopy for monkeys and birds, or simply swing in a hammock in lazy comfort.
